Hitachi kann mit seinen Blu-ray-Camcordern im Moment ordentlich Punkten. Der Standard hat sich durchgesetzt und die Geräte kombinieren die Einfachheit des Aufnehmens auf wechselbare Scheiben mit der Qualität von HD-Bildern. Der DZ-BD70E hat zwar vereinzelt Probleme mit der Bildqualität, sieht aber stylisch aus und verfügt über diverse interessante Funktionen.
